In Search of Pups!

May 14, 2009
Wow this little business idea has really taken off.  Someone emailed me and asked if I was the "Puppy Finder"...kind of sounds like "Dog Whisperer"...except he's making a whole lot more money!!!  I think listing puppies gives the looker an idea of what's out there and prices etc...but what I'm finding is I am getting specific requests for certain breeds or a combo of characteristics that one likes like " light color fur, long hair, flat face, medium size...so not really a breed but a look and I'm pretty good a visioning what a customer wants from my years of bead & jewelry making.  Shooting for Memorial Day weekend for bringing up pups...this time I WILL have pups for you to see and get your puppy fix and hopefully get a new member of your family!  Back to work!
See ya soon Renee:)

Pack Leader

Renee Hi there...well I'll try to make this brief....Yah right. I love to talk (just not on the phone) There's no such thing as a quick call...so if you ever want to get in touch I'm an e-mail girl. My love for all animals has been with me all my life. I actually intended to become a vet but when I was about 10 yrs old I saw a farm vet put his arm somewhere into a cow that I never wanted to do! So unfortunately I was never told I could just specialize in cats & dogs...oh well so I went into Dental Hygiene. Yes good money but very repetitive. I am an artist so doing a variety of things is a must!!! My daughter Jasmine was born in 2000 and she was a "Mama's girl" so I stayed at home with her when she started school I had just taken a Glass Bead making class and was hooked. My "Twisted Sister" Rachelle and I started our Bead & Jewelry Business and our work can be found at our website www.twistedsistersbeads.com. I LOVE creating things out of glass Lampworking, Fusing, Mosaics etc...totally addicted! The past year has been slow so I started thinking of other ideas. My girlfriend had pugs and I did her doggie daycare with all of them. Then we discovered Lilys Puppy Pad which is the coolest little place here in Grand Rapids. They have Michigan raised puppies in open areas that I go to get my puppy fix. Well I started looking online for my own pup and came across one of my favorite breeds the "Papillon" Lexi is going to be one year May 10! We then added Bebe a Pom-Jack with merle markings she's a goof! My newest baby is Pina (Colada) she is a Purebreed Chihuahua Blue Merle and is ADORABLE she gives the best licky kisses!!! I was so addicted to LOOKING for MY perfect pup that I found it hard to stop...so I got the idea to bring the "Puppy Pad" idea up north where my sister and our bead business is...Homeraised Harbor Pups was born.
